I’m half Icelandic – half American and grew up in Seattle, Washington. Growing up, I was very interested in the arts, as well as environmental science and everything about the outdoors. I decided attend Hallormsstadaskoli to dive into my interests in creativity and sustainability.

My education at Hallormsstadaskoli led me to apply for further education in sustainable design. I hope to help solve environmental issues with creative solutions through design, and I’m looking forward to continuing many of the skills I learned at Hallormsstadaskoli as well.

In my studies, I was most interested in craftsmanship and sustainability in creativity in occupational therapy. I want to see how sustainable pursuits are made more accessible and use sustainability thinking to empower people and their health. At the same time, I want to make an impact on sustainable rehabilitation work. It is also fun to be able to use nature and recyclable raw materials to strengthen individuals and groups, work on creating projects that are useful and discover new solutions based on sustainability.

The program improves the interdisciplinary approach to previous studies and opens up new avenues for professional development.
